Do a Google search on Mont Choisy and the top results would most likely be its beach, resorts, and hotels. But make no mistakes about it. There’s more to Mont Choisy besides its magnificent coast of pristine white sands and the upscale tourist facilities that it engendered. In recent years, Mont Choisy has asserted itself as a sound Mauritius property investment destination as well.
Investors, particularly foreign nationals, could easily spot the potential returns of a presence at Mont Choisy. It’s the next-door suburb of Grand Baie village on the northern part of Mauritius. This area is where many of the country’s expat talents have chosen to settle, thus creating many world-class amenities locally.
Southwards, Mont Choisy is just some 10 miles as the crow flies from the Mauritian capital city of Port Louis. The city isn’t only the administrative centre for Mauritius. It’s also a host to business operators and service providers including those in the shipping hub of Port Louis Harbour.

Peninsula hosts a business magnet
A business magnet The no. 1 real estate developer on the island, 2Futures, counts amongst the active exponents of Mont Choisy as a magnet for Mauritius property investment. In 2019, 2Futures completed the construction of the Mont Choisy Business Quarter (MCBQ).
MCBQ consists of two office buildings, iQ and hQ located at Pointe aux Canonniers. Its site on the western side of Mont Choisy is on a peninsula that once served as observation and defence post of Northern Mauritius.
Notably, 2Futures also developed previously the Grand Baie Business Quarter (GBBQ) just north of Mont Choisy. Delivered in 2011, the offices in GBBQ are already sold out as well as those at the MCBQ iQ.
Fruitful residential foray in IRS
Besides commercial developments, residential projects have fared well too in the Mont Choisy-Grand Baie area. Mont Choisy, in particular, has been a fertile ground for the Integrated Resort Scheme (IRS) launched in 2002 opening Mauritius property investment to foreigners.
Mont Choisy Le Parc, another 2Futures project, is one landmark IRS project in Mont Choisy. No less than Mauritian Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth graced its groundbreaking in 2017.
The 2Futures IRS project was developed along with Mont Choisy Le Golf, an 18-hole championship golf course. This masterful stroke likewise included amenities complementary not only to golf but also available to the whole Mont Choisy neighbourhood. These facilities include a clubhouse and a new shopping mall trademark of the prime IRS projects in Mauritius.
The beach, of course, remains amongst the perks of living in the Mont Choisy Le Parc of 2Futures. Mont Choisy Beach perfectly combines with other local points of interest to drive interest in Mauritius property investment opportunities. Even the logarithms of the Google search engine would surely agree.
