Property Development Scheme (PDS) Mauritius
Besides providing a variety of residential options, the government of Mauritius implemented the property development scheme in 2015 to encourage inclusive development, job generation, and creation of new life and leisure facilities, and has seen an increase in foreign investment in Mauritius
In addition to daily management services provided like maintenance, security, and household services, PDS projects in Mauritius incorporate clubhouses, swimming pools, and sports and wellness facilities. PDS residences & properties may also feature public spaces and commercial amenities which contribute in promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
Also, in the bargain, is the eligibility for a Mauritius permanent residence permit. This is true when you invest more than USD375,000 (or the equivalent in another currency) in a PDS program.
Additionally, your dependents including spouse, dependent children, and/or parents may also apply for the permanent residence permit. Investing in a PDS property in Mauritius also negates the necessity of an occupation permit to live and work in Mauritius. The property development scheme harmonizes the government registration tax at a single rate of 5% while investors benefit from an array of tax advantages.
