Ocean Point, the prime beachfront development in Pointe aux Biches in the north of Mauritius, is on track for completion by year-end.
One of the joys of investing in and living at this type of boutique project is the sense of space, being away from the crowds, and being close to nature. This is a major driver for property investment today.
There are only 15 premier apartments at Ocean Point, which already limits the number of neighbours you’re likely to encounter if you’ve got used to living in your own little bubble. However, only three homes are still available for sale so you will have to act fast to take advantage of this opportunity reserved exclusively for Mauritians.
You will love the architecture, which incorporates airy interiors that welcome plenty of daylight. Cleverly designed to facilitate natural crossflow ventilation for cooling with a little help from full-length window glazing, you can rest assured that you will have a lovely indoor space to shelter from the tropical heat.
Meanwhile, if you enjoy being outside, we have thought of that too. Large shaded terraces are included with every floor plan. The BBQ kiosk is also undercover and expansive umbrellas are thoughtfully placed next to the sun loungers next to the infinity pool as well as at the beach.
When you feel like a change of scenery, but don’t want to venture too far, there are several other top-rated beaches close to home. Trou aux Biches is one of the busiest and is particularly popular among locals. It’s quite lively too, with the water full of boats, and the beach full of people. You can snorkel, scuba dive, stand-up paddleboard and kayak if you want to do something more active.
Closer to home is Pointe aux Biches. As a Mauritian, you’ll know that this is also a favourite spot for islanders. The landscape features rocky patches, sandy coves and glorious shades of blue water.
The beach at Mont Choisy is quieter. Here the water is calm and inviting, which is great for swimming. The sandy stretch is long and people love to walk or exercise here when they’re not admiring the colours of the changing sky as the sun goes down. Mont Choisy Beach is lined with filao trees, which gives it a different look. There’s plenty of parking too, which is a huge plus!
