As of 01 October 2021, Mauritius will be fully open for all travellers.
The authorities have laid out several protocols for a safe stay that you can find below.
To land in Mauritius, you will need a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours from the last boarding point and undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival (Day 0).
It is required to fill and hand in a few forms to health officials when you arrive at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport. These are the Passenger Locator Form, the Health Self Declaration Form, and the Health Laboratory Form.
As a vaccinated visitor, you can freely move around the island throughout your holiday.
You will however need to have a mandatory COVID-19 insurance health cover (not applicable to Mauritian citizens) and an antigen test on day 5 of your stay.
If unvaccinated, you will have to book a quarantine stay, including meals and transfers, in an officially designated quarantine hotel. You can choose between the following hotels: Ambre, Gold Beach, Gold Crest, Le Grand Bleu, Palms, or Silver Beach.
For 14 nights, you will need to stay in your hotel room where your meals will be directly delivered and undergo additional PCR tests on Day 7 and Day 14. With a negative test on Day 14, you will be able to check out, move freely and explore the island.
