Northfields International School hosted its largest charity fundraiser event at Mont Choisy Le Golf in the north of Mauritius on October 24, 2020.
The 2Futures team was among the 150+ guests who showed their support to the 12 four-balls, who were given tee-off times from 8am. We sponsored the 18th hole, positioned near the clubhouse, supplying juicy island fruit and refreshments to thirsty players as they waited to complete their round.
Mont Choisy Le Golf is a par-72, 6 200m Peter Matkovich-designed championship course, which serious and amateur golfers can enjoy. Its state-of-the-art practice facilities include chipping and pitching areas, putting greens and a 300m double-ended driving range.
Players must use a buggie to get around, as the in-demand course takes too long to walk. It happens…
Conditions were typically windy, but the sun was out and everyone had great fun. The course opened in 2017, yet the endemic plants and trees have a way to go before they provide enough of an intervention for players challenged by the breeze.
