Luxury properties in Mauritius is girding for a rebound in the 2021 second quarter. Sangeetha Ramkelawon, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, BCP Bank, indicated this prospect in Global Finance Mauritius magazineMs. Ramkelawon attributed her optimism mainly to the tempting Mauritian government incentives granted to foreign real estate investors in recent years. She likewise cited the appetite for real estate inherent amongst investors and the robust growth of the HNWI market.

In the next five years, analysts expect ultra HNWIs to grow in number by 27 per cent globally. Breaking it down, they project the rise to be the fastest in these regions:

  • Asia (with India on top at 73 per cent growth)
  • Europe (Sweden’s 47 per cent leading the gains)
  • Africa (Egypt on the lead with 66 per cent growth)
