Road in Mauritius

Several road projects completed recently on the island is providing a further boost to the quality of living in Mauritius. The government inaugurated two of these new roadways in 2020 at the north of the island. These roads significantly improve the mobility pivotal to the life quality in the island’s towns and villages, especially in the north of Mauritius.

Buying a home in Calodyne or Grand Gaube, for example, has become even more attractive, with the opening of the Cap Malheureux Bypass Road. Residents of 2Futures’ Le Barachois Beachfront Residences in Calodyne are amongst those that would benefit from this new diversion road. It is also a big plus for homebuyers in the Ocean Grand Gaube, another development of 2Futures in the north of Mauritius.

Easier access to Pereybere and Grand Baie

The new diversion road allows drivers to avoid the northern traffic bottleneck on the B13 coastal road during rush hours. As a result, this facilitates more convenient travel from the north to the various attractions in Pereybere and Grand Baie. The hiking trails and rest areas in the road diversion project further enhanced its contribution to the quality of life in Mauritius.

Well-kept highways and new roads foster island mobility that builds a high quality of life in Mauritius.

The diversion, built at a cost of MUR207 million stretches a total of 3.3 kilometres. It starts from the Anse La Raie beach area onwards Cap Malheureux and to the Chemin Vingts Pieds road corridor. Subsequent to the bypass project, the government will widen the Chemin Vingts Pieds and connect it to the Northern Motorway onwards the Triolet village.

Meanwhile, a similar road project further enhances the life quality at Les Residences de Mont Choisy and Le Domaine Grand Baie. This road links Grand Baie and the La Croisette mall near these 2Futures developments. Auspiciously, 2Futures is delivering units of the two residential developments to their buyers in early 2021.

The new road runs 1.5 kilometres and connects the La Croisette roundabout on M2 to the B13 coastal road. Named  Boulevard Mont Choisy, the new road was built at a cost of over MUR81 million. It is a well-lighted road with a parkway and a roundabout to tame traffic and thus foster road safety.

Choice properties near the Boulevard include some hot listings of apartments at Les Residences de Mont Choisy.  These residences feature two bedrooms and two baths within lot areas of 137 to 147 square metres. Contact 2Futures for more options on homes that are the epitome of high quality of living in Mauritius.
