Flamboyant tree Grand Baie Mauritius

The districts of Rivière du Rempart and Pamplemousses combine as an area of rapid development in the north of Mauritius. A total of about 40 villages and towns comprise this two-district area, with Grand Baie as its growth epicentre. Several villages suburban to Grand Baie also combine to help grow Mauritius property values in the island’s north.

Luxurious tourist accommodations are easily the main growth drivers for Grand Baie and its neighbouring coastal villages. But there are other elements bringing dynamism to the area. Many of Grand Baie’s neighbours have something unique to offer in helping build interest in  property developments. Take a look at some of these samplings.

Ocean Point Grand Baie
Various local points of interest combine to drive values of properties like Ocean Point of 2Futures.

Balaclava

The village of Balaclava in Pamplemousses is noted for its historical ruins dating back to the 1700s. Now an “open-air” museum, the ruins feature vestiges of gunpowder and weapons manufacture during the island’s French era. A Balaclava mill then also supplied the iron used in the establishment of Port Louis as the island’s capital.

North of Balaclava, Baie aux Tortues (Turtle Bay) hosts a national marine park to highlight the island waters’ biodiversity. The coastal stretch farther northwards teems with upscale beach resorts and luxury real estate developments.  The prime residential choices here come from the Ocean Point of 2Futures at Pointe aux Biches.

Cap Malheureux

Located in Rivière du Rempart, Cap Malheureux is on the northern edge of the island. The Bain Boeuf Beach of this village is where the British landed when they took over Mauritius in 1810.

Besides this historic beach destination, Cap Malheureux also takes pride in its vintage Notre Dame Auxiliatrice Church. Eye-catching with its red roof and distinctive colonial architecture, this Catholic church contributes to drawing attention to Mauritius high-end property developments in the north.

Amongst these are the homes 2Futures has delivered at the Le Barachois Beachfront Residences in Calodyne east of Cap Malheureux. Eastwards a bit more, 2Futures offers G+2 apartments at Ocean Grand Gaube.

A mosaic of other factors brings value appreciation to Mauritius property developments in the island’s north. Consult 2Futures for the vantage location that promises the most out of a real estate investment in Mauritius.
